A Heroic Act

One afternoon during the December holidays, Sam decided to go shopping at the new Vivo City at Harbourfront When he arrived at the shopping centre, he found that it was ve Crowded. Oh! There was a sale. Sam was thrilled as he badly needed some new kitchen knives and groceries.

“I am in luck today!” he thought.department stores were very crowded.

Sam decided to buy some knives first as the other department stores were very crowded.

While Sam was paying for the items, he heard screams of panic. The voice of a man could be heard too. Sam was curious So he walked closer and closer towards the commotion. There he saw a man with a bushy beard and messy hair slashing some bystanders with a long and shining knife. He was wearing a pair of jeans and a white shirt stained with blood.

Without thinking any further, Sam quickly crept behind the man. Just as the man was going to slash a child, Sam sprang from behind. He kicked the knife away from the man and pinned him down to the ground. Everyone clapped and applauded him for his heroic act. Sam tied the crazy man up with the help of a burly fellow. By then, someone had already called the police and the ambulance.

Soon, the police and the ambulance arrived. The police handcuffed the lunatic and took him away. The police praised Sam for his bravery. The child might have also iost his innocent life if Sam did not take action in time. The parents of the child were very grateful to Sam. Sam was very proud of himself too. He whistled happily as he was driving home.

Not untii Sam got home did he remember that he had forgotten to bring home his knives and groceries.
