A Prank

Do you know what a prank is? A prank is a practical joke that often hurts more than it humours.

Ahmad was a school boy. In school, he liked to play tricks on others. Then he would laugh to see them suffer. Many times, his teacher warmed him about his naughty behavior. However, Ahmad refused to listen.

One day, before a Mathematics lesson was about to begin,Ahmad thought of pulling another prank. This time, he was going to play one on the teacher. Before the teacher came in, he loosened the legs of the teacher’s chair such that the chair would collapse if anyone sat on it.

When the teacher arrived, the class was surprised. It was not Mr Tan their regular Mathematics teacher but a Mrs Lim, a relief teacher. Mr Tan was absent. For Ahmad, there was an even bigger tragedy. Mrs Lim was pregnant! Ahmad had to act first.As Mrs Lim was about to sit in the chair, Ahmad rushed forward and sat in it himself. He fell to the floor with a loud clatter. Mrs Lim was shocked and so, too were the rest of the class.

Ahmad had played his last prank. He had learnt his lesson.
