A Robbery

In the dead of the night, a tall man in his thirties stealthily walked into a garden of a terrace house. He stopped at the gate,glancing around to make sure that nobody was watching him before climbing over the fence.

Once inside the house, the man immediately walked to the master-bedroom. He then ransacked the house. The noise woke up the owners and their maid. They all screamed in astonishment. The man was quick to act. He took out his revolver which was fastened to his leg. He grabbed the lady to warn them not to continue shouting.

Just then, a passer-by outside the house heard the shouting. He immediately ran to a nearby telephone booth to report to the police. Soon, two police patrol cars arrived at the scene. The police officers surrounded the house. One of them watched the man through his binoculars, and communicated with other members of his group with his walkie-talkie. The man was quick to act. He snatched his bag which was half filled with cash and jewellery and dashed out.

In his attempt to flee, he was hit by several bullets from the police. Fortunately for him, none of them hit any vital part of his body, but he failed to run away.

Later, he was sent to the Singapore General Hospital for an emergency treatment. In the end, he was put in jail after he was discharged from the hospital.
