A Stubborn Boy

Ho Bo was known for his stubbornness. He was boastful too.Nobody in class liked him very much.

One day, the whole class went on a field trip. Mrs Cheng, our form teacher brought us to a nature park. All thirty of us,including Ho Bo, were not allowed to get off the main track.

As we walked following Mrs Cheng, we could hear many different kinds of insect noises. We also saw many strange plants and flowers.

Suddenly, Ho Bo pointed at a beehive. It was hanging from a low branch of a tree. I warned Ho Bo not to go near the hive as we could see a few bees buzzing around it. However, Ho Bo would not listen. Mrs Cheng did not hear us for she was right at the front of the line.

Ho Bo did a dangerous thing. He picked up a piece of stick and started to poke at the hive. It was not long before he was screaming in pain. The bees had attacked him. Mrs Cheng rushed forward and poured a pail of water over Ho Bo. Soon, the bees dispersed.

It was a painful thing for Ho Bo but he had finally learnt his lesson.
