A Wrong Judgement

It was nearly ten a.m. The scene was in a school field. The weather was sunny. An athlete, Lucy, was practising long jump at a sandpit. She intended to improve her capability of jumping over a longel distance. She yearned to capture the top position in the long jump event. Needless to say, it was arduous but she was determined to succeed. She longed to hear the rounds of applause and admirations from hel classmates when she stepped out to receive her trophy.

At this juncture, something terrible happened to her. As she was running towards the sandpit, she made a terrible mistake. She misjudged the distance and jumped high into the air. She landed outside the sandpit with a thud. She grimaced in pain on the grass as she suffered a sprained ankle. Her body writhed, her face contorted, her eyes rolled wildly as the pains gripped her. Soon the pains proved too much for her and she passed out unknowingly. Her plight did not come to light until her monitress, Jessie, happened to pass by. She was jogging and stumbled upon Lucy who was unconscious. She tried to wake Lucy up, but to no avail. She then sounded the alarm and Lucy was rushed to hospital for prompt medical attention and treatment.

Lucy made a wrong judgement and had to pay a high price for it.
