PSLE CONTINOUS WRITING COMPOSITIONS

Ever since I transferred to a new school, I felt lonely and out of place. During recess, I often sat alone on a bench in the school garden while watching my classmates chat and laugh together. I wished I had a friend, but I was too shy to approach anyone.

One afternoon, I was sitting quietly in the garden when an elderly gardener noticed me. He walked over carrying a basket filled with fresh fruits that he had picked from the school garden. With a warm smile, he offered me an apple and asked why I looked so unhappy.

At first, I hesitated, but his kind voice encouraged me to open up. I told him about my difficulties fitting into the new school. He listened patiently and shared stories about how he had once been shy when he was young. His words comforted me and gave me courage.

From then on, I visited the garden regularly after school. We talked about many things, from gardening to school life. He taught me how to care for plants, while I helped him water the flowers and sweep the paths. Although there was a large age difference between us, we became good friends.

Months later, I grew more confident and made many friends in school. However, I never forgot the gardener who had helped me through a difficult time. Our bond was unforeseen, but it taught me that true friendship can blossom in the most surprising places.
