An Upset Girl

It was nearly one p.m. It was raining heavily. A sixteen-year-old girl, Alice, was dressed in her best. She wore a yellow dress and matching shoes. She was going to a classmate’s residence to attend a party. She waited for the rain to stop. As she waited, she felt thirsty and hungry. She entered the kitchen and made herself a glass of hot coffee She added sugar into it. Then she took some crispy biscuits from a biscuit tin. Soon she was enjoying her snack. Not long, the sky began to clear and the rain was reduced to a drizzle.

At this juncture, Alice was delighted. All of a sudden, she was not careful. As she was getting up from her seat, she accidentally knocked down the glass. The coffee spilled onto her dress. Her dress was ruined by coffee stains. She was visible upset. She began to sob. She rushed into her bedroom and opened her wardrobe. It was empty as all her other dresses had been sent to the laundry. She then flew into a rage and slammed the door.

For the next fifteen minutes or so, she locked herself in the room. Minutes ticked by as she stared blankly at the ceiling. She could not possibly attend her classmate’s party. She was indeed upset by this unfortunate incident.
