Andrew Had A Windfall From A Lucky Draw

One late morning, a little boy, Andrew, ran an errand for his busy parents. He had a shopping list with him. The household goods were depleting and had to be replenished. His parents handed him a hundred-dollar note to make the necessary purchases. He was in high spirits as he was fond of shopping in air-conditioned comfort. Humming a tune, he made a beeline for the supermarket in the vicinity.

After half an hour, he had finished his purchases. The bill came to over fifty dollars. The cashier gave him two Lucky Draw coupons for the Christmas Lucky Draw which would draw to a close in half an hour’s time. The prize winners would be picked and their names announced on the spot. Carrying two bags laden with household goods, he made his way to a drinks stall.

As it was getting late, he passed through the supermarket on his way home. All of a sudden, he heard his name being announced. He could not believe his eyes. He jumped for joy. He won the first prize, four days/three nights HongKong Tour for two, four thousand dollars of travelling expenses, nine hundred dollars of shopping vouchers at the supermarket, and a hamper worth about six hundred dollars. He soon hurried home and broke the good news to his startled parents. Everyone was jubilant!
