Burglar – Breaks into Houses

The neighbourhood I am staying in was recently troubled by a burglar. Striking in the mid afternoon, he picked on houses he believed was empty.

One day, I had to meet the burglar in my own house. I had returned home early that day. My parents were out working at the family store. My younger sister had not arrived home yet from school. I took a bath and had lunch. After that, I thought I could rest a while. While I was lying on the sofa, I heard a tapping. It came from a side door. Before I knew it, the door swung open and there he was, the burglar. He wore a mask to hide his face. He did not see me. He went into my parents’ bedroom. I called the police.

The burglar had fallen asleep on the bed. He had earlier on been in another house. He had helped himself to the food over there before falling asleep in my house.
