Describe an exciting event that you attended

DESCRIBE AN EXCITING EVENT THAT YOU ATTENDED

I had a difficult time persuading Alfred to go with me and my father would not allow me to go by myself. The event was the wrestling match of the century and two giants were clashing: the Masked Marvel and cold Killer. I saw the advertisement in the papers and decided that I just had to go. After my father lay down his condition, I decided that Alfred had to be persuaded. He was one of those studious computer types and not very interested in wrestling. Anyway, I managed to bribe him by promising to go with him to the chess match the following weekend. He looked sad but agreed.

We got good seats and settled down to watch the match. After the few preliminary matches, Cold Killer was announced into the ring. His supporters screamed for him while we booed. We had seen on him on TV and he was a dirty fighter. He usually tries to win at any cost.Then our hero came out and we cheered. I stood up with about a few thousand others. The Masked Marvel waved to us and bowed. We were thrilled. I looked at Al, he looked bored.

The fight began and Cold Killer started his tricks right from the start. He managed to get in a few illegal blows, which the referee did not see. I suspected that perhaps the referee was one of his supporters. The crowd booed, even Killer’s supporters did not like what he did.The first part of the fight was entirely Cold Killer’s. Masked Marvel seemed not to be able to recover from the terrible blows he received. He seemed to be in a daze and getting walloped. I was sad; I had come all the way to see my hero getting beaten. I looked at Al; he was not interested. He let out a yawn.

Then the Masked marvel lived up to his name. He made a remarkable recovery and went at his opponent with a vengeance. First he gave him a flying kick. This astonished me as I had not expected him to recover so fast or even at all. With Cold Killer on the canvas, the Masked Marvel climbed on to the ropes and jumped on him. Cold Killer screamed. “Serves him right,” I thought. Masked Marvel followed this up with several more blows. Cold Killer just took them all as if he were in a daze. Finally, Masked Marvel grabbed his opponent, carried him over his head and threw him out of the ring: The fight ended. The fans went wild and the Masked Marvel bowed graciously. I looked at Al to share the moment; the man was reading a book!

I came away in a daze; what an exciting event. I cannot understand why it did not affect Al at all.
