Don’t Hurt Me, Please

“Goodnight!” I said to my parents. Reluctantly, I entered my room and clambered into my bed.

All of a sudden, I found myself standing in front of an eeri hut. Out of curiosity, I entered it . The moment I stepped inside,|was totally surrounded by darkness, except for a shaft of gentle moonlight shining through a broken window.

“Bang!” the door slammed hard by itself. I screamed at the top of my voice. After a while, I plucked up my courage to proceed carefully ahead. However, my sixth sense told me that there was no one in the hut. Suddenly, a small creature scurried across my path and I quickly stepped back in alarm. My heart started beating fast but I still had to go on.

On the wall, I noticed a huge portrait of a knight. He stared at me furiously. He looked aggressive and ferocious. When I was about to run, I heard a sharp and loud voice coming out from the second floor. I walked up the stairs with fright. The stairs creaked as some of the wooden boards were very old. Once or twice, my feet went through the boards and I nearly fell off the stairs.

There were many rooms on the second floor. I knocked on one of them. “Is there anyone in?” I called out. My voice echoed in the corridor but there was no answer at all. I pushed open the door and discovered that someone was lying on the bed. Before I could make out how he looked like, he jumped up and shouted at me. I ran as fast as I could and eventually, I tumbled down the staircase heavily.

“Ha! Ha! Ha!” Where can you go, my dear?”

“Don’t hurt me, please!” I exclaimed

When I opened my eyes. I found myself lying on the floor.Thank goodness, it was just a nightmare after all.
