PSLE CONTINOUS WRITING COMPOSITIONS

One rainy afternoon, I was helping my mother tidy the storeroom. Dust swirled in the air as we sorted through old books and boxes that had not been touched for years.
While carrying a stack of books, I noticed a dusty cardboard box tucked away in a corner. Curious, I opened it. Inside were old photographs, notebooks and yellowed papers. As I flipped through the contents, a sealed envelope caught my attention. My name was not on it, but it was addressed to my grandfather.
I carefully opened the envelope and unfolded the letter inside. To my surprise, it was a letter written by my grandfather many years ago. He had written about his childhood, the hardships he faced and his dreams for his family. He hoped that future generations would work hard, stay humble and never give up.
Fascinated, I read every word. Although I had always known my grandfather as a cheerful man, I had never realised how difficult his life had been. The letter revealed a side of him that I had never seen before.
That evening, I showed the letter to my parents. They were equally amazed and shared more stories about Grandpa's younger days. The discovery brought our family closer together.
As I carefully placed the letter back into its envelope, I realised that treasures are not always made of gold or jewels. Sometimes, the most valuable discoveries are the stories and memories left behind by those we love.
