Lost and Found

Last Sunday, my mother brought me to a shopping centre.It was a newly-opened one and I was excited.

Upon reaching the centre, we saw many people there. They were rushing back and forth amongst the many shops. It was very noisy. There were children all over the place – a few running about unguided.

I was delighted to see the different window displays of the many shops. There were even small restaurants in the centre.Holding on tight to my mother’s hand, I walked about gaily.

Then, my mother went into a shoe shop. It was having a grand opening sale and the crowd in the shop reached up to its entrance. My mother told me to wait outside saying she would return shortly. However, after having stood outside for about ten minutes, I grew nervous.

Thinking I had lost my mother in the crowd, I began to wander in search of her. Soon, I was lost. I moved up storey by storey and moved down again via the escalator. Still, I could not find my mother. I began to panic. Then, I spotted the reception counter and there was my mother talking to a security guard. I ran up to her and hugged her. She was so relieved to see me.

She brought me to a fast food restaurant where I had a juicy burger and some cold lemonade.
