Mistaken Identity

One day. I was walking along a busy shopping mall. The examinations were over. I had done well. My father had rewarded me with a crisp fifty-dollar note. I did not know what to do with it.

Suddenly, I heard a cry. Before I knew it, two big men had grabbed my arms. I struggled hard and started to shout at them.A bald bespectacled owner of a kiosk nearby was pointing at me and yelling.

“What could be the matter?” I asked myself in a panic. I was greatly puzzled. The men dragged me to the kiosk vendor. I felt so frightened. When the kiosk vendor saw me up close however,his face took on a sudden change.

“Oh dear me! He is not the boy!” he declared to the two burly men. By then I realized the two were security officers. “His shirt appeared the same from a distance that I thought...”The men loosened their grip and I was so relieved. I had been greatly embarrassed. Passers-by were gawking at me. The kiosk vendor had turned red as a beetroot himself. He stepped out of his tiny shop and shook my hands in apology. He offered me some goodies in a bag. However, I was just happy that the episode was over. I decided there and then to save my money.
