My Ambition

Ambitions are what we wish for ourselves in the future. Most of us have ambitions.

For me, I wish to grow up to be a doctor. Even since I was a child, I have been curious how tiny wounds heal by themselves in time. I am also puzzled by how people can get better all of a sudden after being ill for so long.

Besides these reasons, I want to be a doctor so I can help the poor and needy. The cost of health care is constantly escalating in many countries. If there were more doctors, perhaps this cost can be reduced and stabilized. I believe a doctor should not think of making money only. A doctor should give part of his time and effort to charity. This is a responsibility he must realise. If I were a doctor, I would like to go to poorer countries and help the poor there. I learn from television documentaries that thousands of children die every day throughout the world. As a doctor, I would certainly like to lessen their sufferings.

I hope my ambition to become a doctor comes true one day.For now, I must study hard.
