My Ambition

Whoever asks me what my ambition is, my answer is “1 want to be a doctor”. I decided to have such an ambition after l met with a serious accident about two years ago.

One day when I returned from school, it was raining heavily. Forgetting all the advice and warnings of my parents and teachers, I dashed across the road and accidentally, I was knocked down by a speeding car.

The impact almost flung me high into the sky. When I regained my consciousness, I found myself lying motionlessly on a stretcher. I was then rushed to a hospital nearby. For almost one month, I had to stay in the hospital. Since then, I had realized how important a doctor was.

Doctors are doing great services to us. Whenever people receive injuries or fallill, doctors are the people who can help reduce their sufferings and pains; they can even save them from death with their knowledge and experience in medical science.

I am fully aware that to be a dedicated and devoted doctor, I must work extremely hard from young. I must pass all my tests and examinations in school with flying colours, and then I will be able to obtain admittance to any university to study medical science before I become a qualified doctor.

In fact, I would like to be a specialist in surgery. Therefore, I must make up my mind to pay more attention to the latest developments in medical science.

I have told my parents of my ambition, and they have given me full support, assistance and encouragement. They always say, “There is a will, there is a way.”
