My Aunt’s Wedding Day

At seven-thirty in the morning, my father and I set off to Grandma’s house. It was Aunt Annie’s and Uncle Eddie’s big day!

When we reached Grandma’s house, we saw that the house was bustling with activities! My other aunts and relatives had turned up to help in the kitchen. They were really very busy!Mum and I were anxious to see the bride, so we went up to Aunt Annie’s bedroom to see if she needed any help. All her friends were crowding round her. “Wow!”I whistled softly under my breath when I saw Aunt Annie. She was simply gorgeous in her long, white wedding gown!

When the bridegroom arrived, he went straight to her,uncovered her veil and kissed her on both cheeks! Everybody cheered and clapped. Then, I helped Aunt Annie to hold up her gown as she was walking down the stairs. They had to go to uncle Eddie’s house first. Later, they would come back again.

After lunch, they checked into a hotel. At night, we held a grand wedding banquet for the newly-wedded couple. All of us were very happy after this busy but interesting day. I felt very glad and excited for being a bridesmaid for the first time!
