My Experience Setting Up a Recycling Corner at Home
Recently, I decided to set up a recycling corner at home because I wanted to reduce the amount of waste my family produces. My friend had done the same, and it inspired me to take action.
Before I started, my mother advised me to hang several shopping bags on hooks in the kitchen and use them to separate different recyclable materials. To make sure my family members remembered to recycle, I placed colourful reminder notes above the bags.
My parents spent three hours clearing unwanted items from our storeroom. After that, it took me one hour to sort the recyclable items into the different bags. Soon, my family members began separating recyclable items instead of throwing them away. My brother even helped me empty the full bags into the recycling bins at the void deck.
Setting up the recycling corner was a rewarding experience that taught me the importance of protecting the environment.
