My Name is ‘Stupee’

“Boo hoo! Boo hoo!” This is so embarrassing. I’m really a disgrace to the society of burglars. Oh! How am I going to face my friends after this?”I who have always boasted about my ‘house breaking-in’ techniques have landed myself in jail.

Sorry! I’ve forgotten to introduce myself. My name is ‘Stupee’, not ‘Stupid’ of course. I used to be the best burglar who ever lived. But now, I have ended up in jail. Let me tell you my story.

One day, I was bored and I decided to do some business I discovered a building which looked very classy. So, I sneaked into it and tried to select a perfect apartment to start my work.

At last, I found a fancy apartment on the 20” floor. I broke one of the windows and climbed through it. Then, I dashed into the master bedroom and started my job. I rummaged through all the drawers and cupboards and found many valuable things including diamonds. I stuffed them into my bag and grinned to myself, thinking of the money I would make when I managed to sell the loot in the black market. When I was about to leave the apartment, I realized that I was famished. So, I decided to go to the kitchen to have a ‘free’ lunch.

When I went to the kitchen, the first thing I noticed was a big roasted chicken on a large plate. Immediately, I grapped a chicken thigh and was about to sink my teeth into it. All of a sudden, a cage came crashing down on me. I was shocked beyond words. An alarm went off. Some security guards came rushing in and arrested me. After my arrest, I was put on trial and sentenced to jail.

It was then I realized that I broke into a spy’s home. The spy’s name was Smarty. If it were not for her, I would surely be in paradise, enjoying my windfall. Oh! That wicked Smarty!
