PSLE Grade A1 Situational Writing Model Answer (100–150 words)

To: Mr Lee

Subject: Recommendation of Sam as a Student Guide

Dear Mr Lee,

I would like to recommend Sam from Primary 6K to be a student guide for the new Primary One students next year.

On 11 October 2021, during recess at 9.45 a.m. in the school library, I saw Sam sharing a story with three Lower Primary students. He spoke confidently and kept them engaged. When one student was restless, Sam spoke to him in a firm yet patient manner, and the student soon cooperated.

I was impressed with Sam for two reasons. First, he was able to hold the attention of the younger students. Second, he showed patience and good leadership when handling the restless student.

At 10.10 a.m. outside the library, I asked Sam if he would like to be a student guide. He replied enthusiastically that he would love to do it and thanked me for the opportunity.

Yours sincerely,
Lina Tan
