PSLE Grade A1 Situational Writing Model Answer (100–150 words)

To: Miss Amir@school.edu.sg
Subject: Suggestions to Keep the Canteen Tables Clean

Dear Mr Amir,

I am writing to inform you about a discussion held on 21 August 2023 between my fellow prefects, Raj, Siti and me regarding a problem in the school canteen.

We observed that many Primary 1 pupils had left their bowls, plates and cups on the tables after eating. To address this issue, we suggested putting up signs to remind pupils to clear their tables. We also proposed a buddy system where Primary 5 pupils guide Primary 1 pupils during recess.

In addition, we feel that giving the Primary 1 class with the cleanest tables an extra ten minutes of recess for a week would motivate them to keep the tables clean.

We plan to submit our detailed proposal to you by 25 August 2023.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Yours sincerely,
Lily
