The Bully

Tom was the school’s bully. He was tall for a twelve-year-old pnd big-sized too. That frightened many of his schoolmates. Tom knew this and he took advantage of it.

He would strut about school and act like a really tough boy. He would shout at smaller boys and frighten girls to tears. Sometimes, he would demand money from smaller boys. The boys were so frightened that everytime Tom asked, they gave him their money. Thus, life in school became miserable for the smaller children.

One day, a new boy came to school. His name was Jerry.Jerry was small and he puts on spectacles. He was very intelligent and helpful too. Tom soon learnt about Jerry. He wanted to terrorise Jerry.

He waited for Jerry to go into the toilet. Then, together with some other boys, Tom entered the toilet too. As Jerry was washing his face, Tom demanded money from him. Jerry smiled and said,”Look, I am not afraid of you. If you ever think of bullying me again, I shall report you to the principal!” said Jerry bravely. Tom was shocked. No one had ever spoken to him like that before. He was also frightened. The principal was a strict man. “And you know what? You could be expelled for this behavior,” warned Jerry as he walked out of the toilet.

Tom realised that he had done wrong. Jerry was right. From then on, Tom turned into a new leaf. He also realises that in every bully, there lives a coward.
