The Sea World Animal Show

During the June holidays, my parents brought my sister and I for a holiday to Florida, USA. My father had to attend a business conference there, so he decided that we should spend a week of our June holidays there. I was delighted because I had been wishing to visit the Sea World Theme park in Florida. My sister was looking forward to visiting pisney World. It was a very long flight to Orlando, Florida. We spent almost twenty-seven hours on plane rides and we had to transit through three airports. By the time we reached our hotel, we were absolutely exhausted and we went to bed as soon as we could.

We woke up early the next day and had a huge breakfast. The first place we were scheduled to visit was Sea World. It was a bright, sunny day, the perfect weather to visit Sea World. Sea World was huge. The first show we went to was the Orca Show. Orca is actually another name for killer whales. There were two killer whales that were performing, Shamu and Kelly. We sat right in front and got splashed from head to toe. Shamu and Kelly were gigantic in size but they were very beautiful and intelligent. They performed all sorts of jumping tricks and they performed a dance. While they were performing, their trainers gave information about killer whales. It was a very enjoyable show.

Then we had a quick lunch and after lunch, we went for the Dolphin Show. The dolphins were as beautiful and as intelligent as the killer whales but they were definitely not as big in size. They were very adorable though, and they were always kissing their trainers. They were also extremely responsive to the audience, and they would jump high into the air or perform a dance when they hear applause or cheering. After the performance, we got to meet the dolphins,We were allowed to touch them and to look at them from up close. They were very cute and friendly. My sister and I wished we could take them home with us!

We went to see the sea lions and sharks exhibits next.The exhibit area was quite similar to the Underwater World at Sentosa but it is much bigger. We also got to see and touch some stingrays and giant sea turtles. Finally, we went for a virtual ride to tour a simulated North Pole region, where we got to see polar bears and seals. The seals were fat and sleek but the polar bears looked a little miserable. It could be because they did not like so many people looking at them!

We did not realise we had actually spent almost seven hours at Sea World until the announcement was made to notify visitors that it was near closing time. We had a quick dinner and we reluctantly left the park. I learnt so much and it was so fun too.

We spent the next few days visiting Disney World, Universal Studios and downtown Orlando. However, I still liked Sea World the best and I hope I would be able to visit it again.
