The Wet Market

It is Sunday today and I am going to the market with my mother. The market is not far from my house. Mother and I walk to the market.

We reach the market after ten minutes. There are a lot of people there. The market is noisy. Voices bargaining and shouting out prices can be heard. The market here sells mainly seafood and vegetables.

Vegetables like cabbage, brocolli, asparagus, spinach, carrots,capsicum, cucumber and many others are sold in one half of the market area. The other half sells different types of fish. Prawns,cockles and squids are also sold.

Mother buys plenty of vegetables. She also buys a few pieces of soya bean cake. Then she buys a nice red snapper and half a mackerel.

It is time to go home. Before leaving, Mother buys two lemon drinks and we sit down on stools to refresh ourselves.

I like going to the market with Mother.
