Two Talkative Patrons

It was 1.35 p.m. in a local cinema. The film ‘Godfather Part Three’ was about to be screened to an audience of two hundred. Suddenly, two talkative patrons, Simon and Jimmy, were chatting away all the time. This incurred the wrath of other movie-goers. Boos and shouts filled the air as they showed their displeasure in the dark cinema. A lone voice screamed “Can’t you two just keep quiet and watch the film show? Have some consideration for others.” This loud protest finally silenced Simon and Jimmy. They felt embarrassed and dared not make a murmur. The audience was right. Tickets for the show were hard to come by. The queues were getting longer and longer.

Not long, silence finally descended upon the audience. Everyone was anxious and eager to watch the opening scene of the concluding chapter of a notorious Mafia family in United States of America. Drug-smuggling, gangland killings, gambling and extortions were some of the vices of these notorious mobsters. Death usually came swiftly to anyone who dared to confront or betray these ruthless mobsters. However, the joy of the audience proved short-lived. Simon and Jimmy were very tense and kept in suspense as the drama in this action-packed film unfolded gradually. A dispute over territorial rights in gambling by two rival families soon erupted into a running gunbattle where both sides opened fire with machine-guns. Simon and Jimmy were carried away by the excitement that they screamed and uttered, “Kill them! Don’t wait!Don’t spare them! ”That was the last straw. A burly man from the audience rose and shouted at them, “You’re making too much noise!Stop it or I’ll throw you out of this theatre!”
