Dear Sir,

I am writing in response to your advertisement in the’Singapore Voice’ today. I am interested in working for your company as a ‘Copywriter’.

I am presently working in a similar appointment at Tanjong and Gul Adworks. I have been working here for nearly two years now. I have been performing well and have to date written 134 copies for various organisations in Singapore and Malaysia.

Prior to working for my present company, I was studying overseas. I hold a Diploma in Mass Communications from the University of California. Presently I am studying for a degree in my spare time and will be sitting for the final examinations next year.

I want to leave my present company because I realise that my full potential is not being utilised here. In fact I have spoken to the proprietor and he has agreed that I need to develop my skills in a bigger company. He wishes me well for the future.

I will be happy to call on you for an intervicw al your convenience. I shall bring samples of my work to show you.
