Write a story entitled ‘The Lost Alien’

He was lost and turned up at our school garden shed. He was a little fellow, about half the size of our ruler and he looked sad. We came upon him sleeping in the garden shed and at first thought he was a toy, Mabel touched him and he stirred. She screamed and we ran to investigate. ‘Aiyer,’ was his name we learnt. He was on a mission to earth to bring back soil samples and was stranded because his space craft had run out of fuel. We realised that he was talking to us through mental telepathy. Also we could all read his thoughts. He was scared and worried. We told him that we would take care of him and did. Mabel brought him food and he ate greedily.

We were not sure what he used as fuel for his space craft. He showed us his space craft and it looked like a giant comb. We helped him to hide it in the garden shed. We did not tell the teachers and decided that it would be our secret. Mabel hid him in her bag and brought him to the lab. We turned him loose to look for his own fuel.

He went about and finally found what he was looking for — vinegar. He helped himself to a pint and we helped him to carry it to his craft. There he loaded the fuel, helped himself to the soil samples and got ready to leave. We shook hands one by one, all except Mabel.She bent down and kissed the little guy. Then he got into his craft and left. We looked at the craft until it disappeared.
