Write an essay to narrate a trip to any part of a nearby country.

I had heard a lot about Cameron Highlands. Someone told me that it was where the British went for their vacations because it was cool like an English summer. I decided that if it was good enough for the British it was good enough for me. I booked a ticket for a bus journey.

The journey was a long one. Cameron Highlands is all the way in Pahang and you had to go there by way of Ipoh and Tapah. I went all the way grumbling. I hate long bus journeys. Then at Tapah, one of my bus companions pointed out Cameron Highlands to me. I saw nothing as it was blocked by clouds. I swallowed and looked at the long winding road that we had to traverse. I was worried throughout the jour ney up the hill as it was 33 miles of bends. By the time we arrived it was night and we checked into the hotel. I saw nothing. One thing I learnt though. It was very cold. I wrapped myself up in a few blankets and went to sleep.

Next morning, I woke up to the most beautiful countryside I had ever seen. I dressed in a hurry, grabbed my trusty camera and ran out. I ran into a typical Malaysian town — but way up in the clouds. The first sight that greeted me was a roti prata shop. I had two.

The rest of my one week stay was fantastic. I had nothing to do and I loved it. I took my camera and went on long walks and photographed everything I saw. It was a beautiful experience. I was silent most of the time. I reserved my energy for just absorbing the scenery.

When I came home one week later, I promised myself that I would go to Cameron Highlands at least once a year. It is the most beautiful part of Malaysia.
